Owner-operators and small fleets

Trucking insurance that holds up when you file the claim.

The cheapest policy is the one that fails when you need it. We tell you what your coverage actually does before you buy it, get you the certificates a broker asks for, and deal with the insurance company ourselves when something goes wrong.

We speak Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian.

Have us call you back

Tell us what you run. No forms to fight with — we call you.

Submitting this form does not bind, change, or cancel coverage, and is not a claim report. If you need coverage or a change today, call (773) 657-3860 during business hours. To report a claim, contact your insurer's 24-hour claims line.

Where You Are

How long have you been running?

It changes who will insure you and what they charge. Find yourself below.

Owner-operator with truck

Your first three years

New authority, one to five trucks

Most companies will not quote you yet. We know the ones that will.

Small fleet of trucks at a yard

Three years and up

Established, running a handful of trucks

A claim your policy does not cover comes straight out of your business.

Line of fleet trucks

Eleven trucks and up

Fleets

Every new driver and truck is paperwork. We handle the changes so your office does not.

Lowering Your Premium

Trying to get your premium down?

Some ways work. Some of them cost you the whole claim later. Here is both.

Leaving a driver off your policy lowers your premium a little. If that driver crashes, you pay for the crash yourself.

What you save

What you pay

We have not put numbers on this, because we do not know yours. The shape does not change.

What people try

  • Leaving a driver off the policy

The driver who is not on it is the one the claim turns on.

  • Saying the load is lighter than it is

What was actually in the trailer is what gets looked at afterwards.

  • Saying you drive less far than you do

A policy priced for local work does not follow you across the country.

  • Registering the truck at a cheaper address

Where the truck really sits is a fact, and it is a checkable one.

What actually works

  • Three years without a gap in coverage

The line most companies draw before they will talk to you at all.

  • No claims on your record

Slow to build, and the biggest lever you own.

  • Drivers who have been doing this a while

Who is behind the wheel moves your price more than what you drive.

  • A higher deductible

The lever we can pull today. We will show you what it costs you.

What Enough Means

Is your policy actually enough?

Four things to check. We go through all four with you before you buy anything.

It pays the claim

A policy is a promise. We read yours out loud before you sign it, so you know what it says.

It covers the load

The freight in your trailer has a value. Your cargo coverage should match it.

It protects what you own

Your truck, your house, your business. Liability decides how much of that a bad day can reach.

The company behind it can pay

Cheap paper from a weak company is not insurance. We tell you who is actually on the policy.

After You Buy

What happens after you buy?

You buy insurance once a year. You need a certificate, a change, or a claim all year long.

Certificates

A broker will not release the load without one. Tell us who needs it and where it goes.

Truck and driver changes

Add a truck, drop a driver, change a VIN. You call, we handle it.

Claims

Call us first. We deal with the insurance company so you can keep working.

How We Work

How do you decide what I need?

Five steps, in this order. The price comes fourth on purpose.

1

We find out who you are

How long you have been running, what you haul, how far, and who is driving. Nothing gets quoted before this.

2

We work out what you should carry

What the loads you take actually require, and what would survive a bad day. This is the number before the price.

3

We work the price down against that

Deductibles, terms, and which companies want your kind of operation. What we will not do is quietly cut the coverage to make the number look better.

4

We place the coverage

You see what each option costs and what each one leaves out before anything is signed.

5

We stay on it

Certificates, truck and driver changes, and the claim if one comes. That part does not end at the sale.

Questions

What truckers ask us most.

Yes, and it is a lot of what we do. Fewer companies will look at you in your first years and the ones that do cost more, so the job is knowing which markets are open to you instead of collecting declines. We also have markets for drivers with under two years of commercial experience.

Three years of continuous coverage is the threshold where whole markets open up. Below it, a lot of companies will not quote you at any price. It is the single thing that changes most about what you can buy, and it is why staying insured without a gap matters more than shopping every renewal.

Ask us. Tell us who needs it and where to send it, and we send it. You do not need to log into anything or fill out a form to get one, and you do not need to wait for a renewal to add a certificate holder.

Almost never the truck. It is usually years in business, loss history, driving records, radius, or what is being hauled — and often the two policies are not the same policy at all. Bring us the other quote and we will read it against yours, line by line.

Tell us what you run.

One call. We will tell you what the market will do for you before you commit to anything.
